Marduq was the god of light in ancient Mesopotamia, almost 4,000 years ago. The Babylonians even considered him to be the supreme god, and he was god of magic and wisdom to boot.
Marduq was the son of the ancient god Ea, and a lad of great promise from the moment of his birth: he received the four winds for toys. As a young god, Marduq managed to defeat the enemies of the gods in a decisive battle. From the rubble, he created the earth and us humans. With this deed, he confirmed his position as the new supreme god. Marduq is often pictured with his pet dragon Mushussu.
In our time, we would like to make the magic of light shine anew, and help spread knowledge in a new way.
Marduq was developed by Sense Studios in Amsterdam. Sense Studios has its roots in video art, and is a full-service web company as well. Marduq’s development is the result of a great passion for and a deep understanding of video and the web.
